To Work Program
Work turns the wheels of industry, but a wrench
gets thrown into that machinery when a worker gets
injured. That’s where Advent Rehabilitation comes in. From Work Site Analysis to
Ergonomic Consultation. From Work Conditioning to Job Coaching. Advent
Rehabilitation has comprehensive services to keep employees healthy on the
job or to get them back in action after an injury. When a
healthy workforce is at stake, you can count on us.
Keeping tabs on the process
The first thing you should know about us is that we understand
the importance of communication. Concise and timely reports
of our services are generated so you’re never in the
dark. We’ll tell you how your patient is progressing
and when we expect him to be back to work. we can even do
a detailed analysis of the patient’s work tasks and
report our findings to the employer. That’s peace of
mind.
The nuts and bolts of what we do
Advent Rehabilitation provides therapy services in over 16 locations.
Services include:
- WORK CONDITIONING
Restores flexibility, strength and coordination with a goal-oriented
treatment program geared to getting injured workers back
to good health. Work-focused training increases physical
tolerance for the individual’s job and teaches proper
body mechanics and posture. Task analysis identifies work
capabilities or restrictions to maximize the individual’s
performance.
- WORK HARDENING
Job-simulation-based training designed to bridge the gap
between a worker’s physical abilities and their required
job tasks. Includes functional training, task specific work
activities, flexibility and strengthening exercises, and
aerobic conditioning. Education is also a key component
as we teach posture and body mechanic techniques as well
as pain management.
- FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION
A detailed, objective appraisal of an individual’s
maximum baseline tolerance for a work-related task as defined
by the Dictionary of Occupational titles. Identifies if
a person’s physical abilities match the demands of
a specific job and predicts maximum performance of their
everyday activities.
An ounce of prevention
Advent Rehabilitation does more than fix problems. We help prevent them
from happening. Our education and prevention services include:
- ERGONOMIC CONSULTATION
Work setting analysis to identify risk factors and recommendations
for worker technique or workstation/tool modification. Provides
injury prevention data and a resource list of recommended
equipment. An excellent way to match people to tasks, prevent
injuries, and reduce compensation costs.
- JOB COACHING
This problem-solving process helps an employee transition
back into work after an injury, reducing anxiety in the
patient, identifying causes of symptom aggravation, and
allowing for helpful on-site observation by the therapist.
- INJURY PREVENTION TRAINING
Our customized clinics (available on site or at our offices)
teach employees how to work smarter and avoid potentially
injurious activities and situations.
- WORKPLACE STRETCHING & EXERCISE PROGRAM
Specific fitness programs may be developed to reduce fatigue,
pain, and injury risk. No special equipment is required,
and sessions can usually be done at the employee’s
workstation.
- POST-OFFER/PRE-PLACEMENT EVALUATIONS
Our expertise can help you place workers in jobs that minimize
risk of injury. This results in fewer injury claims and
reduced health costs.
