Golf Fitness Program

Would you like to improve your distance off the tee? How about improve your flexibility for a powerful turn behind the ball? Have you ever thought about improving your core stability to improve your muscle endurance and prevent injury?

The physical therapists at Advent Rehabilitation have developed a Golf Performance and Fitness Program designed to take your golf game to the next level.

Our functional strength and conditioning program will not only increase your club head speed, but it will also eliminate physical limitations that lead to poor body mechanics. Learn how to generate effortless power instead of powerless effort.

Our focus is to provide you with essential techniques to advance your skills. This is accomplished through a comprehensive analysis of your golf swing using digital cameras and slow motion analysis to identify physical factors influencing your golf swing.

Our program

Licensed physical therapists with advanced training in biomechanical evaluations will provide a comprehensive assessment of your golf swing. We’ll customize a functional training program specific to your golf swing to improve all areas of performance. We’ll also communicate with your teaching professional to design a fitness program to meet your instructional needs.

Level I: Comprehensive Golf Fitness Analysis

  • Video and golf performance screen.
  • Evaluation of posture, balance, flexibility, stability, and swing speed, using digital cameras and slow motion analysis to identify physical factors that influence the golf swing.
  • Cost: $100.00

Level II: Golf Fitness And Training Program

  • Video and golf performance evaluation.
  • Two (1 hour) sessions with a physical therapist who will customize a fitness program that includes instructions on exercises to improve your flexibility, balance, core stability, posture, and efficiency of movement.
  • Cost: $300.00

Rehabilitation of the injured golfer

Physical therapists evaluate and treat neuro-musculoskeletal injuries with an emphasis on functional progression for return to golf. By Michigan law, a physical therapy referral requires a written prescription from your physician.
